Relational Approach

I invite us to explore what’s alive in the here-and-now between us and discover how that connects with bigger picture themes and issues.

Somatic Approach

I invite us to drop-in to our felt-experience and to be curious about insights and messages that may be being expressed somatically. Dropping in somatically can be a profound way of uncovering places of blockage, old patterns, and unprocessed emotions – and to bring healing experiences to them.

Gentle Therapeutic Touch

This is optional and always offered with informed consent.  Sometimes simple gentle touch can support a sense of safety and co-regulation more effectively than through words alone. The healing touch I offer is generally simple as holding a hand or gently placing a hand on the shoulder. It can be offered while seated or laying down on the bodywork table.

What is Relational Somatic Healing?

Relational Somatic Healing (RSH) is an approach to Somatic Healing developed and taught by Shirley Dvir that draws upon the wisdom of developmental trauma research, attachment theory, Body-Mind-Centering, Hakomi, among other somatic modalities. RSH emphasizes the importance of being with the present moment relationship in the process of healing developmental trauma.
